Oil & Gas predictive maintenance, lone-worker safety.
Upstream, midstream and downstream — Innfini connects SCADA, sensors, valves, pipelines, refinery assets, field crews and inspection workflows into one operational picture. SCADA fusion, runbook automation, lone-worker safety and ESG-grade reporting.
A plant is instrumented. It is not necessarily visible.
Upstream, midstream and downstream sites already generate enormous volumes of data — SCADA historians, DCS tags, vibration probes, gas detectors, permit systems, inspection records. What is missing is not measurement. It is one place where all of it is correlated, judged and acted on while the process is still running.
Alarm storms
Operators absorb hundreds of undifferentiated alarms a shift. The one that mattered looked exactly like the four hundred that didn't.
Run to failure
Only the critical rotating equipment is condition-monitored. The balance of plant runs until it stops, and stops without warning.
People in hazardous areas
Who is inside the fence, in which zone, for how long — answered by a paper sign-in sheet and a roll call at the muster point.
Evidence assembled late
Regulator and ESG reporting is rebuilt by hand from disconnected logs, weeks after the period it describes.
Six things we put on a site, and what each one changes.
Each is deployable on its own and each feeds the same platform, so the second one costs less than the first and the sixth is mostly configuration.
SCADA fusion and alarm intelligence
SCADA tells you a value crossed a limit. It does not tell you that the same compressor tripped twice this week, that the standby unit is already in maintenance, or that a crew is working inside that zone right now. Innfini ingests the historian alongside sensors, permits, work orders and personnel location, correlates them in real time, and presents the operator with a grouped, ranked event rather than a wall of individual alarms — each one carrying its own runbook.
- Ingest
- OPC UA, Modbus, CAN bus and Profibus straight from the control layer — no custom development
- Correlate
- The CEP rules engine evaluates every event against process state, asset history and who is on site
- Respond
- Runbooks attach to the alarm automatically and dispatch the field crew with the procedure already loaded
- Record
- Every recommendation cited, every approval logged, every action reversible
Condition monitoring and predictive maintenance
Critical and semi-critical rotating equipment is typically the only part of the plant with condition monitoring — yet it is just 15–25% of the fleet. Pumps, blowers, fin-fan coolers, agitators and the rest of the balance of plant run to failure, because conventional monitoring has been too expensive to justify per asset. Low-cost wireless beacons measuring vibration and temperature, with edge processing and cloud AI, extend predictive maintenance across the whole fleet.
- Sense
- A wireless beacon per asset measures vibration and skin temperature with intelligent edge processing
- Learn
- AI establishes each machine's own baseline, so deviation is judged against that asset rather than a generic threshold
- Forecast
- Failure probability and remaining useful life, with the work order raised before the trip
- Act
- Immediate notification when equipment stops or exceeds temperature limits
Gas detection, environmental and emissions monitoring
Fixed detection covers the points someone specified years ago. It does not cover the temporary works, the turnaround scaffold or the corner of the tank farm where the wind sits. A mesh of wireless sensors extends coverage where it is needed, at a cost that makes temporary deployment reasonable, and every reading — routine or otherwise — is retained as a defensible record of the conditions the plant operated under.
- Measures
- Combustible and toxic gas, temperature, humidity, air quality and CO₂, pressure and the rest of the process spectrum
- Coverage
- 5,000+ sensors from leading providers already integrated; battery-powered units place in minutes, not shutdowns
- Alerts
- The rules engine fires the instant a reading breaches a limit — email, HTTP, pub/sub or web socket
- Evidence
- Every reading logged for audit, with historical playback of what happened, where and when
Lone-worker safety and personnel accountability
The question an incident commander asks first is how many people are inside the fence and where. On most sites the answer is a sign-in sheet and a radio check. Wearable tags and geo-fenced zones make it a live figure: who entered a confined space and when, who has been in a hot area past their permit window, who has stopped moving, and — at the muster point — who is still unaccounted for, by name, in seconds rather than in an hour.
- Zones
- Geo-fenced hazardous areas, confined spaces and restricted zones with entry, dwell and exit rules
- Duress
- Panic button, man-down detection and automatic check-in escalation across radio and SMS
- Mustering
- Live headcount by zone and by muster station, with an exception list rather than a roll call
- Permits
- Presence checked against the permit to work — the system knows if the wrong person is in the wrong place
Asset, tool and equipment tracking
Calibrated instruments, lifting gear, torque tools, spool pieces and rental equipment move constantly during a turnaround and are searched for constantly afterwards. Every item carries a tag and is read automatically as it moves — no line of sight, no manual scanning. The map shows the last read, the timestamp and the zone, and certification state travels with the item, so out-of-calibration gear is flagged before it is picked up rather than after it is used.
- Reads
- Patented long-range RFID — hundreds of items at once, no line of sight, passive-tag economics
- Location
- True RTLS using statistical radiometric methods across multiple receivers, not simple antenna association
- Gates
- Direction of travel and moving-vs-stationary discrimination at gates and laydown yards
- Integration
- Automated capture straight into the EAM or ERP — SAP included
Command and control tower
A field, a terminal and a refinery each run a dozen disconnected systems — process control, fire and gas, CCTV, access control, fleet, EAM, GIS — each with its own console and its own alarms. During an incident, operators swivel between screens and correlate by hand. The Innfini control tower ingests from every source, correlates in real time and presents one operational picture across sites, with response playbooks automating the next step.
- Layer 1
- Data acquisition — technology-agnostic ingestion of SCADA, sensors, RFID, machine vision, GPS, BLE and third-party systems
- Layer 2

Enterprise integration
Measurable impact, from the control room out.
The figures above the line are what Innfini deployments are held to. Below it is the number that usually decides the business case: what an hour of stopped process actually costs.
Failure predicted and worked before the trip rather than after it.
Grouped, ranked alarms with the runbook already attached.
Per SCADA event, so correlation keeps pace with the process.
Regulator-ready evidence produced continuously, not reconstructed.
Trusted on mission-critical operations.
Deployed where being wrong is expensive — energy, nuclear, heavy industry and national infrastructure.
